Congratulations; my work has landed in your lap; before you read though (won’t keep you waiting); there is some things you should know about me, as the writer of the piece you currently have in your possession. By the end I hope you have a better understanding of who I am as a writer and why I feel it is important for you to take my submission into consideration. Whether you do is up to you; just remember how you feel every time submit your own work, your work that you put everything into just so a person like yourself can review just as you’ll be reviewing my work. Exciting; isn’t it?

My name is Caleb M. Price and while I may be an emerging writer; I am full of anticipation of what writing will bring me but know that the road will be long and unforgiving at times. I just have to remember what I’m writing for. That’s what separates a writer from a good writer. Some writers want fame, money, gratitude, and acceptance for their work. Not me. Just the fact that someone has my work in their hands is ecstatic enough to keep on writing. If it brings me fame, money, gratitude, and acceptance; I hope and pray I never forget why I began writing in the first place. When I lose my passion and the rawness doesn’t reflect in my writing; I hope I have the courage to stop writing.

Yes; passion and rawness are the core center of my writing. If my passion isn’t in it then I can’t write to my rawest form. I become a dishonest writer, because my honest self won’t show through. To be honest is to be as raw as one can be. I hope the work you’re about to read is just that. Honest and raw. As writers we think we’re writing for others; however, we always forget we write for ourselves first. If you knew all the works, I kept for myself; you would see just how much it took me to share the work I’ve submitted. When I share a work; it’s because I feel others need to hear what I have to say. My work had such a profound impact on me; I needed to share it, so maybe, just maybe it’ll help others the way it’s helped me. If it my writing doesn’t impact me first; I don’t share it.

I ask as you read my work; what kind of impact does my work have on you? I know whether you like it or not; I can sleep peacefully knowing my writing did impact somebody. Me. Just ask one last thing from you; read my work not from the perspective from a reviewer, editor, or publishers view but from the view in which the story was meant to be told. Mine. Thank you for your time and consideration. Look forward to hearing back from you.
